Lunch: At Grano in Wetherill Park, Sydney (photos taken by me on my Nikon D60, 30mm f1.4 Sigma lens)

When life and work boggle you down, there are always some things you can count on in this day in age.. and that is - a Foodie experience at a new restaurant or cafe. In this case, me and Betty had just that down at Grano in Wetherill Park.

This cute Italian Restaurant sits in the middle of Industrial areas home to loud trucks and bland offices. But Grano marks its territory behind a garden front where the owners grow their own vegetables (used in most of their dishes) and flowers. And inside, the walls are crawling with vines and pot plants giving it a vintage yet quirky feel.

Me and Betty treated ourselves to our coffees amongst the garden as we gossiped away, as girls do. We then ordered Salmon Bruschetta topped with capers, chips (served old school style in a paper bag) and chilli prawn pizza. The food was delicious, everything fresh and flavoursome, especially the chips garnished with herbs and garlic aoli.

I felt at ease sitting amongst the peaceful daylight as I chatted away munching on my chips with Betty. It was one of those perfect Sunday mornings, where good food and good company come into play.
