A Preview: Steve Madden and Nine West Summer Spring 2013 Collection
So, I lied. I said in my last post I would be back to blogging soon and yet here I am two weeks later finally setting up my first blog post. I have been awaken again by my love for fashion and blogging recently after attending some lovely events this week. The first being: Steve Madden and Nine West Summer Spring preview. And what a lovely event it was indeed. I must have been lying to myself that blogging was not a distraction from the emotional hardships of my love life and I regret it fully. I need to pour my energies into this activity. Screw being unhappy and weeping at home. But more about that in my next post.
First of all, the first glances at those Steve Madden boots made me swoon - something about the Mexican leather they use to create that solid, heavy and waxy look really got to me. My favourite were the flat leather Prairie boots with lace panels as they reminded me of my escapee time at Summer Music festivals and I could see would be a great staple for events like Coachella.
Then stepping into the Nine West showings I instantly fell in love with the bow details on the patent flat shoes (Killiana Flats) and the sorbet coloured Carnival of the Light satchels and bags. Nine West really concentrated on the simple details like metal tips, prints and pops of colour.
These styles will be dropping into stores over the coming months from July onwards. Keeping my credit card on hand, especially for those Steve Madden Prairie leather boots.
