The Calm before the Melbourne Storm

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

Wearing: Coussinet Belt thanks to Coussinet; Millions & Billions Mesh Skirt (similar here); Chicbooti Top (similar here); OASAP hat

These photos were taken a day before I flew to Melbourne for a new product launch at Miss Fox. I may look calm here, but in truth I was freaking out. I have a deathly fear of flying and I cannot stress how much it is I freak out when I'm on an air-plane. I develop anxiety and panic days before and I cannot eat or sleep. Then when I get on the plane, I hyperventilate, my heart race goes up and I want to cry. Many people ask if it's the fear of crashing that gets me going. It's not. It's the take-off, turbulence, feeling weightless and being up in the air feeling that really, really gets to me.
However, I still do it (with the help of prescription drugs). I can't let it hold me back to going to see amazing places and attend great events. I tried to calm myself down by sitting by the park and feeding the ducks. I survived the flights by the way but I hated every minute of it. Yet Melbourne was amazing and I will be posting photos soon x

I've never flown anywhere in my life. However, I'm sure you were able to suppress your fears in some sort of way. As for this outfit, it is very charming to go with this lacy top and this gorgeous skirt. The belt and hat are very nice.
