(All photos taken by me and a few friends, with my Nikon D60 and 50mm f 1.4 lens)

Alas, a roadtrip is not complete without good food. 13 of us ate like a family because we prepared and cooked the meals ourselves every night. We prepared BBQs, pasta bakes, hamburgers, pancakes, birthday cakes, salads and fruits. It is such fun sitting around the kitchen laughing and gossiping whilst peeling carrots and cutting up potatoes.

As well as that, we also drank plenty. We had the bar very central to the house, and my boyfriend is very nifty with his drinks. He managed to make up a very yummy(?) shot called "Brain Haemorrhage" and yes, it looks like a brain. You can find the recipe here  but basically you use Grenadine syrup to "curdle" the Baileys in the shot. I think this drink set me over the edge for the night, because milk curdling in you mouth is not always a pleasant feeling....

Roadtrip Diary 2012 Part 2: Colours from Beginning Boutique

Monday, February 27, 2012

Yellow Pop Pocket top from Beginning Boutique, Staple Body chain from Beginning Boutique, Red skirt from Forever 21, Sandals from Topshop, Aviators from Ray-ban thanks to OPSM, Friendship Bracelet from Beginning Boutique

I really intended to take more outfit posts while on my annual road trip, but as all road trips usually turn out for me, I was WAY too busy having fun - drinking, swimming, beaching, cooking, eating, socializing, tanning, fishing and kayaking.
Thankfully I took this outfit post on the first day, before the shenanigans happened. I'm in my bathers (already) and my bright colours from Beginning Boutique and Forever 21. My favourite item is my Staple Body Chain, it's one of those items you can wear with different tops to make your outfit pop.

Speaking of outfit pop I also found the new collection designed by Betsy Johnson for Steve Madden. These shoes are full of neon colour, bright blues, pinks and yellows.

Check out Steve Madden now. Makes your eyes drool...

Roadtrip Diary 2012 Part 1: The animals I met at Batesmans Bay

Saturday, February 25, 2012

These beautiful animals were taken at NSW's Batesman Bay with my Nikon D60 50mm f1.4 lens

As you readers know, I recently came back from my annual road-trip. Every year, my group of friends (13 of us for this year) pack our things and head to Nature. We drove 4 hours to Batesmans Bay that's located on the NSW South Coast and enjoyed peace, quiet, nature and fun.
I met many animals on the way, and you'd think because I live in Australia I'd find kangaroos and koalas. However, it is actually rare to find them in their natural habitat here so instead I found cute farm animals, horses, dogs and our little magpie friend.
If you're wondering about the 'winking' dog, he's not actually winking, he had lost an eye a long time ago. Thankfully the owner was kind enough to let me take a photo.
My favorite animal was my horse, in which me and my boyfriend named 'Buttercup'. She was so gentle she came up to us straight away and I fed her long grass and patted her.

If you ever get a chance to come to Sydney, I recommend a road-trip. My picks are Jervis Bay, Coffs Harbour or Smiths Lake. A Sydney trip is not complete without it.

Dinner with fellow Sydney blogger Margaret Ye from La Petite Mademoiselle!

Thursday, February 23, 2012

I wear: Wayne Cooper dress, Topshop wedges, Topshop Bag, Asos belt, Miss Selfridge cuff (similar here at Beginning Boutique)
Margaret wears: La Petite Mademoiselle Dress, Collette necklace, Samantha Wills bracelet and rings, Sportsgirl Bag, Tony Bianco shoes

At the beginning of this year, I bought a diary for 2012 so I could keep up with my work schedule, social events, and more recently, my blogging events. So you can imagine my frustration when I proudly tweeted that I was all glam-ed up to attend Alex Perry for Specsavers launch party - only to have sweet Aprilia from Aprilia Love tweet me back saying she was sure the event was next week.
I was already on the train and dressed up so when I re-read the email and found that the event was for next Wednesday and not this Wednesday, I face-palmed myself against the train window. I profusely sent my apologies to poor little Margaret of whom I invited to the event and I had passed on the wrong details to.
Luckily she was a good sport and laughed with me. She suggested we just have dinner instead. So I arrived in all my embarrassment and we salvaged the night by having dinner at Ramen-Kan (my favorite place in the city!) and we talked through the night. When we parted ways we joked that we will see each other next week same time same place.. different dress.

Also, I stumbled among this stunning video of Morgan Joanel from Mojomade, and wow this song and video performance really blew me away.

And while you're here please check out Margaret Ye's fashion blog!

Back from my annual Road Trip: In One Teaspoon Holster Bodice from Beginning Boutique!

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

One Teaspoon Bodice from Beginning Boutique , Topshop sandals, Asos belt, Asos mini skirt,
Miss Selfridge long cuff

I am finally back from my annual road trip today! I am so very buggered, because we drove for 4 hours on huge hills and highways. I also managed to get only 17 hours sleep over the 4 nights and we drank and ate alot and I got sunburnt so I also need to tend to them wounds!
I am wearing my favourite BB (Beginning Boutique) top from One Teaspoon and layered a low cut top over it for just the right amount of skin exposure.
I am going to unpack my clothes now and sign off - I shall blog about my road trip very soon to make up for it! For now I leave you with some funky jewellery I found from Haute Diva's Esty store. I am loving that I have internet again. Loving it.

Other than fashion, food is my other best friend. As you can see, I take my eating seriously and even more seriously when its to celebrate something. In this case, I celebrated my 2 years anniversary with my boyfriend. We booked a hotel in the city for 2 nights. Besides the drinking and the beach, we also ate many many many types of dishes. Sydney is so reliable for its variety in food. It's also good for its exercise running tracks, in which I have tried to make use of ever since.

Please don't forget to enter my blog giveaway as well!
